Relationships

Donald Godfrey - May 30, 2004
The longer I work at this genealogy stuff, the weirder it gets. For example, Gladys Smith and I are cousins, 3 times, through the Godfreys, the Halls and the Hensleys and now, I just find I'm related to Gladys' husband John through my mother's Mills family. Don't you just love this "hard work". Don

Photo of Thomas Hall

Susan Roland - Aug 15, 2004
Would anyone be interested in a picture of a Thomas Hall who resided near Mountain, MO. The picture is from around the early 1900's. I have no idea which Hall family he is actually related to, but must of had some ties to John Payton Hall's family.

Error in David Hall's family.

Donald Godfrey - Nov 7, 2003
Hi everyone,
Gladys Smith has done it again, She found another error in the files. I had listed David Hall born 1808, s/o Elijah, Sr., with children Elijah D, age 13 and Martin age 18, both in David's household in the 1860 McDowell Co, NC census. Gladys checking the census film found they were Elijah D. Harris and Martin Mathis.
When I brought it to Danna Gibson's attention, she verified it as Elijah Harris and Martin Mathis, farm laborers, from her files.
