Has any gentleman taken a DNA test? I was curious as to what it would show. Would it show a marker that would send us back to Maryland and Joshua Hall ; Would it show if the Halls came from England, Ireland or Wales? Or would it show only their particular Hall markers ( like a particular son of Joshua?

Another Question?...

Another Question? What will become of Don Godfrey's research? Does his wife still live? Or his children interested in Genealogy of Halls? Does anyone have a contact for his children? His research means so much to the Hall family. I hope that it can be preserved for us.

Civil War Assistance

Debbie Hall Daugherty - Nov 1, 2010

I have been asked to write about the Civil War and want to center on the Halls of course. I am descended from Joshua Rufus Hall, who was the only son to side with the Union. I know his brother, Merryman Hall died at Fort Delaware and Burton Kimsey Hall was imprisioned for over a year at Fort Delaware.

Any information you can share on your ancestors who were brothers of Joshua Hall would be greatly appreciated as it relates to their service during the Civil War.

I know several served with Thomas' Legion.

John Hall Son Of Joshua

I posted several documents today and I am hoping some of you will find them helpful. I have more to post but I have to start getting things ready for our trick or treaters.

I wanted to share I found that the Spicers and Hawkins were Quakers in early Baltimore. I had no idea. If and when I have some time, I really want to focus on that. I never dreamed we had ancestors who were Quakers.
