Genealogy files problem.

I think it was the heat.
My genealogy program just stopped saving when you added or changed data and clicked save. When I logged off and then back on the new data was gone.
The genealogy program I use is the LDS PAF, because it was one of the first microsoft genealogy programs and I got use to it.
I bought it in Salt Lake City, Utah about 20 years ago and now its a free down load at www.familysearch.com.
So I just down loaded the program again and its working like its suppose to.
I will have to use information I posted on the myfamily web sites to bring my files up to date, so will take some time to get back up to speed.

I had a similar problem with my genealogy software. my backup disk went hocky sooey. Turned out it was the zip drive, rather than the disk. So after purchasing another, I now have things back to normal. I could not use the online file, as I had added a lot since it was filed. Now, I keep two backup disks, since the files are too big for anything but zips, and I won't take a chance of only having it on my hard drive.
