This is the only picture I've seen of my great grandfather without a full beard. His 1st wife was Jane Hensley, 2nd Margaret Sisk and 3rd ? Autry. This guy's obit said he had 37 children but I've only found 17 so far.
James was the son of John and Rebecca Biddix Godfrey and grandson of Joseph and Barbara Godfrey. Joseph was the son of Rev. John Godfrey and brother of Charles Wesley Godfrey who was married to Sarah Aleatha Hensley, d/o Amos Hensley.
