Hi everyone,
Thanks to Mary Alice Bradley and Marjorie Godfrey, the long awaited Godfrey and related families reunion will be on Saturday and Sunday, the 19th and 20th of June 2004.
It will be at the St. Mark's Methodist Church fellowship hall near Marion, NC.
Some details:
Registration will start at 1 PM on Saturday, the 19th, with visiting and getting acquanted until 6 PM, then a catered dinner and more visiting until 10 PM or so. Hopefully some local entertainment after dinner.
The dinner will be in the range of about 12 dollars.
We will need about $100.00 dollars for a donation to the church roof fund for the 2 days use and I think from the number of people that say they'll come that would only add 1 or 2 dollars to the cost.
On Sunday, the 20th, at 1 PM, we think a cook out of hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, cold slaw and solt drinks would add a couple more dollars to the cost, with me doing the cooking, then more visiting and maybe more local entertainment. This could change to a pot luck, with bucket chicken and the fixings.
We will keep the cost as low as possible because some people are traveling a long ways to get there and they will have to pay for lodging.
We'll add more details as we get them, watch this news location.
By the way, everyone is responsible for their own lodging.
