Linda Cushing posted on 10-9-2006 an obituary on Maggie Hall Burwell and I didn't have her in my files. Then Linda sent me some birth and death page copies of Winter Payne Hall's family bible and ask me to post them but I couldn't get a readable copy posted. So we will have to find another way to get them posted.
Using Linda's information I was able to confirm a lot of it and was able to add some additional information, so will post a file tomorrow.

There were two Winter Payne Halls.
Toxey Hall - Oct 30, 2006
There were two Winter Payne Halls. One in the Alabama line (this one) and one in the Texas Line (Joshua Hall). The existance of the latter one is taken as evidence among the Texas cousins, that Joshua Hall's wife was Sara Payne vs Sarah Killen as some of the rest of us beleive. I think both of the Winters were named after a Sumter County, AL politician, named William Winter Payne, a contemporary of Joshua. Saunders relates an amusing Story about WWP.
Consistant, with info I have from Linda, Winter and Martha had a son named Reeder Davis Hall (I thought it was Davis Reeder), who had a son named Robert Pugh Hall. Davis Reeder. died in 1879 and is in the death register for the 1880 Census. Robert Pugh Hall is shown living with W. W. Hall Sr in the 1880 Census.

Toxey Hall - Oct 31, 2006
I just corrected an error in the above posting, I had confused davis Reeder with his father Winter Payne. Sorry to confuse.
