Letter from John Wm. Hall, to Wesley White Hall

Toxey Hall - May 3, 2010

I have just posted a long letter to my file cabinet, from John William Hall to Wesley White Hall, Sr., written in Waco, TX on May 25, 1886. John William Hall was the son of Rev. Joshua and Sara Hall. He was a Texas Ranger, a Confederate veteran and a mining engineer. The letter describes his travels in California and Nevada. There is no genealogical info per se, but it reveals the personality of the writer and may be relevant to those interested in this remarkable man. Also see Laurie Liesters posts on the same subject. I have previously posted his obituary from the "Confederate Veteran"
