I've just received info that William Augustus Hall was the founder of the town of Kaseyville, MO where my mysterious grandmother, Louisa Merriman Hall, was born in 1866. I've always been curious where her parents, James H. and Cynthia Hall, would have been there. Now I'm looking for a link between William Augustus Hall and our Squire John Hall family. William is said to have been born in October of 1815 to John Hancock Hall and Stratira Preble. Would appreciate any good info you might share. My subscription to Ancestry.com has expired and even the LDS Family Search.org is different and confusing I think. I found this post by Googling William's name but can't verify the info it contains: "Board: Message Boards > Surnames > Hall URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.hall/9659/mb.ashx Subject: William Augustus Hall and Octtavia Stanley Sebree Author: cgillispie1 Date: Thursday, June 01, 2006 Classification: Query Surnames: Hall-Preble-Shiflett-Esry-Gillispie-Smothers-Terrill-Jackson-Carter-kerfoot- Frazier-Jenkins-Walker Would like to make contact with anyone connected with William Augusta Hall and his wife Octavia Sebree.
