Hello, I am new to this family. I was invited to join by Donald Godfrey. My connection to the Hall family is through my husband. I have traced his Hall family to Berryman Hall and Mary Jane Mobley. Berryman was born 5 Sept 1831 in Alabama and died Oct 29 1917 in Georgia. I believe that this Berryman is the son of John Hall. What I would like is information on this John Hall. I know that he married Elizabeth Anderson and Elizabeth Moore. Berryman would be the son of Elizabeth Anderson. But I need more information on the John Hall family. Does someone have a will or something that could help me connect? There is nothing in Berryman's obituary about his past.
If you would like more information I will be happy to share what I have.

Berryman is not listed in any census
Donald Godfrey - Jan 18, 2008
Janet,
Berryman is not listed in any census in John and Elizabeth Hall's family, but he is listed as a son in several files on ancestry.com.
In a letter to me, David M. Hall, Jr. said John W. Hall had a will dated 15 Sep 1869 and recorded in Will Book D, page 196 in the Probated Court Greene Co, AL.
He died in 1990 and he didn't send a copy of the will.
A member of our web site Charles Black has posted some pictures of the John Hall Family gravestones and a picture of John Hall.
Charles also post all the gravestones of the John Hall Family cemetery at: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/al/greene/cemeteries/jo

In 1850 there is a Berryman Hall
Janet McDonald - Jan 19, 2008
In 1850 there is a Berryman Hall living with a Susan Estes and her son Augustus in Greene County, He is listed at age 19 (1831) and as a laborer. Since Susan Estes' maiden name is Hall I'm assuming that he related as a younger brother. I live in Georgia and have no way of getting to Greene County to look at the Will Book.
