Hi everyone, This is the only guy, I can find in the census who fits the time and place. Jesse Hall, age 40 to 50, in the 1840 Fayette Co, TN census with a wife, age 30 to 40. Jesse Hall, age 52, born in TN, in the 1850 Fayette Co, TN census with a wife Zelar, age 49, born in TN. Jesse gone and his wife Z. Hall, age 61, born in TN, in the 1860 Fayette Co, TN census. No children and neither in the 1870 census. Let me know what you think. Don

Quoting from James Petty Hall
Toxey Hall - Feb 16, 2005
Quoting from James Petty Hall: "JESSIE remained in Tennessee and died there leaving no children. " The correct spelling is Jesse. Descendants of Wesley White Hall bear this name down to the present time.

I forgot.

I forgot. From David Gay, I Have Jesse born April 14, 1798, died Jan 16, 1821, md. Zillah Adams (aka Zelar). David is not very specific about his sources, but has always been right.
Sorry folks! I was wrong. Jesse md Zillah (Zelar) on Jan 16, 1821. See my reply to Linda Cushing, below.

According to that death date
Linda Cushing - Feb 18, 2005
According to that death date, Jesse should have been dead, Toxey, and yet we see him in 1840 and 1850 Census. Who else would have a name like Zelar?

Oops!
Toxey Hall - Feb 28, 2005
Oops! I erred. David Gay gives Jan 16, 1821 as Jesse's date of marriage. He does not give a time of death You are quite right Linda. Mea Culpa.
