James Hall(s) 2 of them on 1900 IT Census

Linda Bay - Jun 25, 2005

Hello again. I haven't been here much lately as I've been busy getting a knee replacement. It's working well, and now I'm slowly getting back to family research. I found two James Hall families on the 1900 Indian Territory census, one in the Chicasaw Nation and one in the Choctaw Nation. Do any of you recognize these folks and know which branch of the Halls they belong to: 1. Township 2, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, page 10A, ED #121: James Hall, age 33, born Sept. 1866 in Texas. Wife: Lillie O. 28, born Feb. 1872 in TX Dau: Ollie, 9 Dau: Cleo, 7 Son: James H., 6 Son: Walter, 3 Dau: Hattie, 1 2. Township 5, Choctaw Nation, IT, page 128, ED #92: James Hall, age 29, bortn Sept. 1870 in Alabama Wife: Lulu, 22, Apr. 1878 in Arkansas Son: John L., 6 Dau: Mary A. 3 I found my maternal grandmother, Louisa Merriman Hall-Vickers, on the 1900 Township 6 Chickasaw Nation census. She is the granddaughter of Micajah Merriman Hall and Jane Caroline Hyde, and daughter of James H. Hall and Cynthia A. Fisher. She and her husband, John Vickers, and some of their children had moved to the Chickasaw Nation from Pryorsburn, KY and I'm wondering if either of these James Halls was somehow related to her. Thanks. Linda
