Can anyone provide the orgins of the Sellers family? Or at least the projected theory. I seem to have ran into all kinds of Sellers in Baltimore County, MD. Many of them were presiding justices. Example: Thomas Sellers, Sabrit Sellers. These justices served with John Hall and are listed in the Prerogative Court Records of Baltimore County.
Thanks,

According to Keith Alan Sellers of Maggie Valley
Roy Hall - Sep 5, 2003
Danna,
According to Keith Alan Sellers of Maggie Valley, NC Abraham Lenda "Jesse" Sellers was born abt 1730 in Germany or Penn and died 1790 in NC. Our John Hall family ran into the Sellers in Burke County. However, when you find a Sellers you also find the Halls.Joshua Hall, Sr married Sarah Sellers, Moses Wilkerson married Rebecca Sellers, Micajah Hall married Mary Sellers. The sons of John Hall, Sr and daughters of Jesse Sellers. Jese Sellers came from Duplin Co, NC, he had a patent for 100 acres, to Chatham Co and then to Burke Co.

Thanks. I agree, the Halls and Sellers

Roy,
Thanks. I agree, the Halls and Sellers to include the Wilkersons seemed to cross paths several times. A professional I'm working with in Maryland told me Sabrit Sellers moved to NC. It appears the name is German and I believe you are correct. Then we have the Baltimore Wilkersons... Smile.
Finally able to narrow the exodus of John Hall from Baltimore County down a little better. He was listed as presiding justice in 1778. He is not listed for 1779.
Thanks again.

One Wilkerson researcher says Moses Wilkerson
Donald Godfrey - Nov 3, 2003
Danna & Roy,
One Wilkerson researcher says Moses Wilkerson was born about 1762 in England, came to Pennsylvania and then to Burke Co,NC about 1785, when he worked for Jesse Sellers for 3 or 4 years. He married Jesse's oldest daughter, Rebecca. He bought land and settled in the Silver Creek Community, which is southwest of Morganton near the Rutherford County line.
This is the community where the Halls and Sellers lived and don't forget the Morgans and Queens lived there to.
